Objective:
To scale up the integrated farming system approach towards better farm planning ensuring diet diversity.
To strengthen community institutions for better market access towards selling the produces produced in the integrated farms .
Outputs:
SIFS farmers are capacitated for planning the farming activities.
Farmers’ access to market improved through smooth operation of the existing market centers in the SIFS project sites.
Major Activities:
Conduction of Farmers Field School (FFS) based trainings on Integrated farming systems.
Tracking potential farms for organic certification under participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS).
Support farmers’ groups for value chain improvement on few selected products.
Establishment of an informal market information system.
Study and planning producer company which will provide backward and forward linkages to the farmers.
