The TERAI Project, funded by Jersey Overseas Aid (JOA) and implemented by ADRA Nepal in partnership with FORWARD Nepal and Indreni Rural Development Center Nepal (IRDC), organized a three-day program from July 23rd to 25th, 2025. The event included a joint monitoring visit, an annual review meeting, and a planning session aimed at assessing progress and setting priorities for the fourth year of implementation. The monitoring visit on the first day engaged officials from the Department of Livestock Services, ADRA Nepal, and project partners, who observed field-level outcomes and interacted with farmers and cooperatives. On the second day, the Annual Review Meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Project Director of ADRA Nepal and was graced by Dr. Sulochana Shrestha, Deputy Director General, Department of Livestock Services, as the Chief Guest. The event provided a platform for stakeholders, including municipal representatives, implementing partners, and farmer groups, to reflect on key achievements, share learnings, and discuss operational challenges.
The third day was dedicated to internal discussions among project stakeholders for planning Year 4 activities. Although no formal session was held, the meeting focused on refining strategies to enhance project impact, particularly in promoting livestock-based livelihoods through artificial insemination and improved cattle productivity. The three-day event reaffirmed the collective commitment of all partners to support smallholder farmers in improving dairy production and income generation through sustainable, climate-resilient livestock interventions.
