Two-Day MEAL Strategic Workshop for senior staff and board members conducted at Sauraha

A two-day MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) Strategic Workshop was held on 13–14 August 2025 in Sauraha, Chitwan under the Improved Food System Project (NPL-1083/22), funded by Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and BMZ. The workshop brought together senior staff and board members from FORWARD Nepal and KSSC, project MEAL team members, and the WHH MEAL Coordinator. Facilitated by Mr. Niresh Chapagain, the sessions acquainted participants with the fundamentals of MEAL and practical tools, laying the groundwork for collaboratively developing a comprehensive MEAL strategy and protocol for both partner organizations.

In addition to the interactive technical sessions, enriched with discussions, questions, and engaging activities, the workshop also offered participants the opportunity to experience a Tharu cultural dance performance at the venue, striking a balance between productive work and immersion in Nepal’s indigenous culture. The next stage will focus on jointly updating the MEAL strategy and framework, with high expectations for effective collaboration between the MEAL teams and the facilitator to strengthen project impact.
