Short Biography: 

Mr. Amit Raj Shah, who holds a Master of Public Health in Health Economics and Outcomes Research from KLE University and a Bachelor of Public Health from Purbanchal University. He has further enriched his expertise through certifications and training programs such as Participatory Learning Approach-Linking Agriculture and Natural Resource Management towards Nutrition Security plus WASH (PLA-LANN+), PD Hearth Training of Facilitator (TOF), and Basic Comprehensive Nutrition Specific Interventions (CNSI).

A seasoned and dedicated Health and Nutrition Professional, Mr. Shahbrings invaluable expertise in managing Maternal and Child Nutrition and WASH-related projects across diverse cultural settings. With over  years of experience, Mr. Shah has demonstrated a profound understanding of health systems and a keen ability to integrate various sectors into multi-sectoral nutrition projects.

Currently serving as a Project Coordinator at FORWARD Nepal/Welthungerhilfe (WHH) Nepal since March 2023, Mr. Shah has successfully managed the Nutrition Smart CommUNITY project in Rautahat and Saptari. His responsibilities encompass program planning, execution, monitoring, and liaison with local governments and stakeholders across Nepal, India, and Bangladesh.

In his previous role as a Project Cum Advocacy Officer at FORWARD Nepal/Welthungerhilfe (WHH) Nepal, Mr. Shah effectively advocated for funding allocation from local governments for maternal and child nutrition initiatives. His expertise extends to program design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and capacity building support for project staff.

Prior to this, Mr. Shah served as a Programme Officer at Social Development Centre (SDC) Mahottari/World Vision International Nepal, where he managed the Nutrition Resilient and Livelihood Technical Program (NRL-TP). Here, he demonstrated strong portfolio management skills, ensuring effective governance, program quality, and technical management.

With a proven track record of driving impactful projects and fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders, Mr. Shah continues to make significant contributions to improving health and nutrition outcomes in communities across diverse settings.
